Introducing the Axle Blog — and What We Built at Our Hackathon

Today, we’re excited to launch the Axle Blog.

This space is where we’ll share what we’re building, how we’re thinking about the future of compliance, and the lessons we’re learning as we work alongside some of the most complex financial institutions in the world.

And there’s no better way to kick it off than with a look at what we built during our recent hackathon.

Why a Blog, Why Now

Axle is building AI agents that operate inside real compliance teams — reviewing alerts, investigating cases, structuring OSINT, and helping analysts focus on what actually matters.

As we’ve grown, so has the amount of product thinking and experimentation happening behind the scenes.

We wanted a place to share that work openly — not just polished announcements, but the context behind why things get built.

That’s what this blog is for.

The Hackathon: Shipping Over Slides

Recently, the Axle team came together for an internal hackathon with one simple goal:

Ship things our customers will feel immediately.

No roadmap debates. No slide decks. Just building.

The focus was on removing friction — the small but costly moments that slow teams down during investigations and reviews.

What We Built

1. Global Search Across Axle

We built global search directly into our applications, making it dramatically faster to find what you’re looking for — whether that’s a case, entity, transaction, or investigation.

Instead of clicking through multiple views, teams can now jump straight to the information they need, exactly when they need it.

This seems simple, but it’s foundational. Speed matters in compliance.

2. A New Transactional Email System

We redesigned Axle’s transactional emails from the ground up.

The new system is:

Clear and consistent
Branded and professional
Easier to understand and act on

From account creation to important account updates, emails now feel like a natural extension of the Axle product — not an afterthought.

3. This Blog

Yes — this blog was also built during the hackathon.

Launching the blog alongside product work was intentional. Building in public — thoughtfully — makes the product better.
